This book is a tribute to Kurt Vonnegut’s Slaughterhouse Five, one of the most revered and reviled books of the 20th Century. Vonnegut reminded us that wars are always fought by children. He warned generations of future soldiers against taking part in massacres like the firebombing of Dresden by the Allies in World War II. Vonnegut’s book was burned by one American high school and banned by others.
